At the Global Sustainable Development Foundation, we finance projects that expand or improve low-carbon and sustainable transport systems in communities or regions with underdeveloped infrastructure. These efforts support Sustainable Development Goal 11: Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.
We consider a range of relevant subsectors, including:
Road Transport
Support is provided for:
• Road infrastructure development
• Passenger transport by road
• Road safety initiative
Air Transport
We also support:
• Airport infrastructure
• Air traffic control systems
• Aircraft and aircraft maintenance equipment
Transport Regulation
We also finance:
• Supervision and regulation of users, infrastructure, and service operations
• Vehicle registration, licensing, safety inspections, and operator training
• Development of safety standards, fare structures, and service level monitoring

We invest in:
• Railway infrastructure
• Rolling stock and railway equipment
• Urban rail systems such as trams and metros
Public Transport Services
Projects may include:
• Management and improvement of public transport services
• Integration of public mobility systems for greater efficiency
Education and Training in Transport and Logistics
We provide support for:

Inland Waterway and Maritime Transport
Funding is available for:
• Ports, docks, and harbour infrastructure
• Port traffic control systems
• Vessels and barges for inland waterway and coastal navigation
Transport Policy and Administrative Governance
Our funding may cover:
• Development of transport policies, plans, and national programmes
• Support for transport ministries and public authorities
• Institutional training, advisory services, and multi-modal transport integration
• Road accident prevention and traffic safety campaigns
